Plumbing has gone “high tech” by using space age technology to provide video sewer inspections, the ONLY way to know for sure what’s going on in your sewer and drain lines. In most cases, the video sewer inspection will find a properly functioning sewer system, but not always.
Sewer and drain lines are very boring, when was the last time you sat down and watched a video of “stuff” flowing down your drains? (For me, it was yesterday afternoon…) We all take for granted flushing toilets; simply do your business then flush your “stuff” away. Once we flush, your “stuff” starts a long journey to the sewer treatment plant or your septic system.
That trip can involve 100’s of feet, even miles of sewer line that carry everything away from your home. Most basement back ups are caused by obstructions in the sewer lines, like roots, dirt, fat, oil, grease and even rubber ducks. Sure, toilets can clog after Uncle Buck spends an hour in the bathroom, but that problem is nothing like a flooded basement that backs up with raw sewage because of an obstruction that could have been diagnosed and removed with a simple and affordable video sewer inspection.
A Colonoscopy For Your Sewer & Drain Lines…
Much like a colonoscopy for your home or business sewer system, this simple video inspection lets you see what’s happening in your sewer line. (I do mean “you”, as you can stand next to our technician and watch the inspection “live.” Sounds like a hoot right…) Not only will you be able to see any issues in the pipe, like root intrusion, broken pipe, loose joints, fat & grease build up, rubber ducks, etc., our specialized camera contains a tracking head so we can pinpoint the exact location of any problems encountered in the line. That makes finding and fixing those issues much easier by minimizing digging, opening of floors and destruction of landscaping. (In most cases we can use our epoxy pipe lining CIPP system to fix a cracked or broken pipe without digging!!)
Fortunately the cost of a video sewer inspection is way more affordable than a colonoscopy, but like a colonoscopy it can save you from some very nasty problems that are preventable with this simply inspection. If you’re buying a home or commercial building, are hearing strange noises in your drains when you flush toilets or wash cloths, you need to consider a video sewer inspection TODAY.
Once we complete the video inspection we’ll send you a link to the camera footage, that way you can invite family and friends over on a Saturday night to watch your new sewer line video…pass the popcorn please.
