March 15th thru the 22nd, of 2015 is National Fix A Leak Week sponsored by the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency). The EPA says untreated water leaks add up to more than one trillion gallons of wasted water per year; that is more than the combined annual water usage of Chicago, Los Angeles and Miami!! Yikes, that’s a lot of water; one trillion gallons is 1,000,000,000,000 gallons!!!
Small water leaks, dripping faucets and leaky toilets not only waste water, they cost you money! Most of these leaks are easy and “cheap” to fix, and as soon you fix them you will start saving money and stop wasting water. (One leaking toilet can waste over 200 gallons of water a day…water you’re paying for that literally went “down the drain”)
So do your part for the environment and for your wallet, visit National Fix A leak Week and make it point to stop water leaks today.
