Do You Need a New Sewer Line?
It is never good news when you find out that you have issues in your sewer line that may require you to repair or replace the complete sewer line. A new sewer line can be a “big-ticket” job, so be sure you only use companies that are licensed and insured to do this work, like we are at Plumbing Professors®!
A new sewer line installation can run from $1,000 dollars to well over several thousand dollars, it all depends on the problem you have, how much of your sewer system the problem effects and, frankly, the caliber and skill of the sewer and drain company you hire. Not all companies that claim to be sewer “experts” really are. At Plumbing Professors® our team of technicians have been extensively trained to troubleshoot and diagnose sewer problems using the latest technology; like fiber optic cameras which allow you to see your problem firsthand, high pressure water jetters that let us clear the line without digging and epoxy pipe lining. We are a leading installer of epoxy pipe lining (CIPP), which in most cases can allow us to repair your sewer without digging!! Plumbing Professors® are happy to provide you with an extensive list of sewer projects that we have completed so you can feel comfortable knowing that you are truly working with “sewer & drain experts.”
Are You Sure You Really Need a New Sewer Line?
Before you worry about the cost of a new sewer line, it is imperative you confirm you really need one, sometimes high pressure water jetting, a “spot repair” or epoxy pipe lining can solve the problem at a much lower cost.
At Plumbing Professors® we use the same methodical system to diagnose your sewer problem BEFORE we recommend you install a new sewer line:
- First, upon arrival at your home, our technician will spend time talking to you about the sewer problems you have been experiencing; like recent strange smells, funny noises, gurgling, slow drains, etc.
- Then our technician will physically inspect your home to look for any obvious issues that may be effecting your sewer system. Once he completes that visual inspection, he will use a state-of-art fiber optic video camera to get a detailed look at the inside of your sewer pipe. If you interested, the technician will invite you to watch the monitor along with him so you yourself can see the condition of your sewer line. (NEVER EVER replace a sewer line unless you have had a video inspection of the sewer line completed by a reputable plumbing firm!!)
- Once the technician has completed the video inspection of the sewer, he will sit down with you and explain what he has found. He will also talk to you about the options he would professionally recommend to repair or replace your sewer line.
- Following this methodical approach to diagnosing your sewer problem assures you that you have all the information necessary to make an informed decision on this critical part of your home. (Plumbing Professors® works with GE Capital, so based on credit approval, we may be able to help you finance your new sewer line project reducing the cost to a manageable monthly payment!!)
